In November 2012, Washington, D.C., will host the 24th Annual NAPABA Convention.  With a theme of Reaching Monumental Heights, the Convention will celebrate how far Asian Pacific Americans have progressed in their quest for advancement and how Asian Pacific American attorneys have contributed to and embodied that progress. Where once our efforts revolved around ensuring basic civil rights, they have now evolved to include succeeding at the highest levels in law, politics, and business. These are some of the Convention highlights.  

  • Conversation with Justice Sotomayor at the Annual Installation Gala Banquet on Saturday evening.
  • 42 CLE panels featuring NAPABA luminaries and other experts in their fields of practice.
  • Inspirational Trailblazers and Best Under 40 Awards ceremonies and receptions.
  • Judicial Council Dinner at the U.S. Supreme Court.
  • A Night at the Newseum, a latenight party at a news and journalism museum.
  • Chief Judge Randall Rader of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, Judge Denny Chin of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and Walter Dellinger, Constitutional Scholar and Former Acting Solicitor General, will judge the final round of the Thomas Tang Moot Court Competition.
  • Exclusive tours of the White House, Capitol Hill, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and the national monuments.
  • Special swearing-in ceremony at the U.S. Supreme Court and exclusive tour
