Tuyet Duong

Tuyet holds a B.A. from the University of Texas and a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law. She presently is a Staff Attorney at the Asian American Justice Center in Washington, D.C., where she focuses on language access as well as disaster and emergency preparedness issues. Prior to her tenure at AAJC, Tuyet worked as an immigration attorney for Boat People SOS in Houston, Texas. She plays the piano and loves outdoor movies.

   

Andy Le

Andy holds an L.L.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center., a J.D. from Rutgers University at Newark and a BA from the University of Virginia. He currently works for Ernst & Young Tax Services in New York City. Andy serves on the board of the University of Virginia’s APA Alumni Association and is Director of NAPABA’s Thomas Tang National Moot Court Competition. He enjoys cooking and dining out at new restaurants.

   

Uyen Le

Uyen graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in Psychology in 2006. She currently specializes in antitrust matters as a Legal Assistant at Arnold & Porter LLP in Washington, D.C. and plans to attend law school. Uyen studied social economic conditions in Vietnam during college and has been serving as Director of Publicity for the Institute for Vietnamese Culture and Education.

   

Caroline Nguyen

Caroline attended Harvard College and graduated with an M.P.A. from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University. She obtained her J.D. from Columbia School of Law and is currently a litigation associate at WilmerHale in Washington, D.C. Caroline has interned with the United States Attorney's Office (S.D.N.Y.), the Honorable Raymond C. Fisher of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Senate Subcommittee on Children and Families. Prior to her graduate studies, Caroline worked on anti-tobacco legislation as an Urban Fellow in the New York City Department of Health. In her spare time, Caroline enjoys biking, sculling on the Potomac, and finding new things to try.

   

Catherine Nguyen

Catherine attended Georgetown University and obtained a J.D. from the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America. She is a Litigation Associate at Reed Smith in Washington, D.C. where she handles complex litigation cases and intellectual property disputes. Catherine participates in numerous community and social service activities and is active in the Virginia Bar. Catherine enjoys running through downtown D.C., competing in marathons, cooking, and watching Georgetown basketball. Go Hoyas!

   

Danny Nguyen

Danny graduated with a B.A. and M.Ed. from the University of California, Los Angeles, and with a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2006. Danny is a litigation associate at WilmerHale in Washington, D.C. During law school, Danny interned with the Honorable Natalia Combs-Greene of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia and the United States Department of Justice’s Counterterrorism Section. Danny enjoys tennis, basketball, and golf, and his favorite teams are the L.A. Lakers and anything UCLA.

   

Martha (Mai) Nguyen

Mai attended the University of Pennsylvania and received her J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center. After working in the private sector for some time, she joined the Food and Drug Administration as a Regulatory Counsel in the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research. Prior to her legal education, Mai was a Research Fellow for the Center for Law and Social Policy’s Reproductive Health Project. She currently serves on the Montgomery County Commission for Women.

   
 

Phong Nguyen

Phong graduated with a B.A from the University of Texas at Austin, an M.S. from the University of Texas at San Antonio, and a J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law. He is a partner in the Intellectual Property Group at Baker Hostetler LLP in Washington, D.C. Phong is a former Assistant City Attorney for the City of San Antonio. He formerly served as Vice President of the Asian Education Fund (APABA-DC) and is actively involved with the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association and the National Youth Leadership Forum Law Section. Phong enjoys playing basketball and golf and watching U.T. sports.

   

Hansel Pham

Hansel graduated from Harvard College and Harvard Law School and currently is an associate at White & Case LLP in Washington, D.C. As a member of White & Case’s International Arbitration and Litigation Group, he specializes in international dispute resolution and complex civil litigation matters. Hansel also serves on the Board of Directors of VietHope and AALead. Hansel grew up in the Olympia, WA area.
